Property in Costa de la Luz

Costa de la Luz

Property in Costa de la Luz is becoming more familiar for British buyers and this does not come as a surprise. This area promises excellent medium to long terms investment returns that Spanish property always delivered in the past.

Spain's Costa de la Luz remains an undiscovered country for modern tourists. It offers kilometers of unspoilt beaches and dunes. There are no high-rise hotels and even in the main ports of Huelva and Cádiz, massive commercial tourism has yet to come to this part of Spain.

The Costa de la Luz is in the Andalucia region to the east of Gibraltar and it has many beautiful beaches between the mouth of the Guadiana River to the Strait of Gibraltar. It comprises of sun and sand with the contrasting colours from the silver sea to the gold of the sands. Inland you find wild sierras, fertile countryside with many famous vineyards and old Spanish villages where time passes very slowly. In the spring there is a proliferation of flowers and fiestas and in the winter plenty of migrant birds because of the mild temperatures. It is an ideal place for your Spanish property investment and once you experience the area you will wish to return again and again. There are many rich and famous people who live on the Costa de la Cruz and when you experience the area you will understand why.

The Costa de la Luz is split between the provinces of Huelva and Cadizand offers many destinations for leisure as well as culture.

Cadiz-Costa de la Luz

Cadiz has the major airport to access the Costa de la Luz as well as being the oldest city in Western Europe going back almost 3000 years. Many different peoples have settled here over the centuries and have all left their mark and culture which can be seen today. This gives the city's population a certain character unique to the area with a specific cuisine such as little shrimp omelletes swilled down with aromatic wines from the local vineyard, Jerez de la Frontera.

Tarifa - Costa de la Luz

Tarifa is at the easternmost end of the Costa de la Luz and is open to the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean. It can be a little windy because of it's geographical position but it does have large expanses of beaches i.e. up to 20 miles long. The beaches are shallow and have very fine sand, some of which are designated "Natural Sites." There is a strong Arab influence in the city's architecture and narrow winding streets. It has a fine castle built in the 10th century and impressive churches such as Santa Maria and San Mateo.

How to get to your property in Costa de la Luz

Seville Airport is the closest to Costa de la Luz, and all towns are within driving distance. The airport at Jerez de la Frontera is less than 30km from Cádiz.

Jerez is a small airport so it is quick and easy to get in and out. It is very convenient for most destinations on the Costa de la Luz. Due to the vast improvements to the road network, especially the new A381, linking the coast road (just outside Gibraltar) to Jerez, runs past Medina Sidonia and Alcalá de los Gazules and therefore access to this area is very easy.

This is a very good time to be starting looking to buy a property in the Costa de la Luz. There are less British buyers to compete, however this part of Spain attracts native Spaniards and other Northern Europeans. Property prices in Costa de la Luz are continuing to rise with or without the British buyers influence.

The authorities are determined to prevent this coastline from becoming overdeveloped; the planning permissions and regulations for building property in the Costa de la Luz are very strict.

UK agent for Costa de la Luz properties

Start your search for a villa or apartments at home before travelling through your UK property agent or overseas consultant. It saves time and money to get ready for your trip to buy your dream Spanish property. The majority of good quality apartments and villas in Costa de la Luz are sold off - plan. This area in our opinion provides excellent capital growth potential but less imminent rental returns due to undeveloped infrastructure. However this situation will change due to massive investments in the infrastructure of the area and approval of building new 5 star hotels therefore is ideal for medium to long term investment. This area would also appeal to people who are looking to buy a permanent home or use it as a holiday home. The building restrictions in this area are very high, which will restrict the amount of properties that can be built in the area. This coastal area remains as authentic as Spain can possibly be and will be like that for good few years to come...

Do not be surprised that quality re-sale villa or apartment for sale is hard to get - after all Costa de la Luz is a new up and coming area, where famous Spaniards buy their holiday homes. It is classed as the Spanish Algarve.

Let our company be your UK agent for Spanish property to guide you through the maize of pitfalls and investment opportunities. You can only gain from the expertise the Spanish property consultants in UK.
